Unleashing the Power of Handwritten Letters: Join
Our 10,000-Letter Challenge
Hello and welcome to A Letter Is Better.
These are exciting times. Are you excited? We’re excited. How many times can you read the word exciting before it takes you over?
10,000 times maybe!
Yes, this is the 10,000 Letter Challenge and it’s brilliant you’re here – ready and willing to be part of something truly unique.. By the way, taking part means you’re a super-cool-amazing-person with a great sense of humour and most likely, great taste in everything! It’s amazing to connect with you.

So, why 10,000 letters?
We thought about a number which is huge but not unimaginable. If there were 10,000 letters on your doormat when you arrived home it would definitely be problematic. If your job was to lick 10,000 envelopes you’d hate your life after a few hours and need some kind of tongue massage and motivational speech to keep you going. And in all honesty, it’s unlikely you’d want to complete the task!
And we don’t want you to hate life because it’s wonderful. Plus, you will never have to lick 10,000 envelopes. You only need to focus on one right now. And after that, who knows? Maybe it’ll be 10,000? But spaced out over the rest of your life!
Okay, let’s break down the number 10,000 into a more realistic and manageable way that helps us understand the possibility of reaching the target.
100 super-cool-amazing-people write their first letter using our How To Write A Letter Guide: Living Person Edition and 100 super-cool-amazing-people reply. Now let’s be unbelievably positive about the whole process and suggest half of the people from the first 200 letter writers tell friends, family, work colleagues etc about the 10,000 Letter Challenge and how to take part. (Full details on how to record your participation will follow shortly)
And a percentage of those new people decide to write their first letter and they receive replies also. And on top of all that, the first 200 letter writers develop a strong and undeniable urge to write letters to other people all over the world and they also reply, and before you know it… something fantastic is happening.
The art of letter writing begins to spread far and wide. Children want in. Granny blows the dust off her writing bureau. That bloke Pete you chat too on the park while your dogs sniff each other’s bums wants to give it a go!

Can you see how quickly the numbers begin to build up?
And there are three core fundamentals of A Letter Is Better: Connection. Authenticity. A Sense of Accomplishment. We explore this in greater detail throughout the downloadable PDF – How To Write A Letter Guide: Living Person Edition.
The PDF does exactly as advertised. It guides you through the letter writing process. It’s for yourself but also for any little ones who want to begin their letter writing journey. And please understand this very important piece of information. This is vital.
Are you ready?
Please, in the most gentle and sincere way, explain to your little ones, and absorb this for yourself – our letters DO NOT NEED TO BE PERFECT.
Life is not perfect.
Mistakes happen.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO START YOUR LETTER ALL OVER AGAIN IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE!
Connection. Authenticity. Sense of Accomplishment.
This is not an English Literature test. Our letters do not have to be perfect.
But what else does letter writing provide for us on a deeper level?
Emotional processing and the release of stored thoughts and feelings. Wow, that sounds a bit heavy! But it’s 100% true and amazing.
Letters provide the opportunity to express complex, difficult or loving emotions that some of us struggle to express verbally. The simple act of writing a letter, even if it remains unsent (see workshops for more details on this) can help bring clarity to feelings and thoughts which have been stuck inside our brains for a long time.
Letter writing can be a powerful tool for processing traumatic experiences, unresolved conflicts, or feelings of loss. There’s self reflection, emotional regulation, and so many other advantages to letter writing but here and now, in this moment, you and me, our focus is on the 10,000 Letter Challenge!

The PDF provides you and your little ones with THE PLAN!
